The Prastio-Mesorotsos Archaeological Expedition is a multidisciplinary investigation of a multi-period settlement in western Cyprus. The site was selected for intensive study because of the apparent longevity of occupation, unusual in Cypriot archaeology. Excavations, landscape analysis and artefactual analysis from this long term project will reveal valuable information on many periods of Cypriot history and prehistory, including the Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Hellenistic, Late Roman, Byzantine, Medieval, Ottoman and Modern periods. The project is also being run as an Archaeological Field School in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh.
